Eligibility
1) Academic eligibility to participate in extracurricular activities, a student must be passing six (6) regular subjects at the time of participation. An updated list will be submitted from Rock Springs High School weekly.
2) All players must have passed in six (6) subjects at the end of first semester in order to play at all during the season.
3) The student must not have reached his 20th birthday and must attend Rock Springs High School.
4) The student must participate in and complete nine (9) practices before he is allowed to play in an official contest.

Practice Requirements
1) Before an athlete can begin practice with the team they must have turned in the following:
• Recent physical (dated after June 1st, 2009)
• Emergency card
• Activity release form
2) The student must attend at least four (4) classes to be eligible for practice for that particular day. If you are too sick for school you are too sick for practice.
3) A truancy will render the athlete ineligible for practice. The suspension will be enforced when the attendance secretary confirms the truancy. The athlete will be responsible for verifying to the coaching staff that the absence has been excused within 2 school days of absence. (Get a note from the secretary to a coach)
4) Any player who is not excused, from the coaching staff, for one (1) practice, in any given week, will not be allowed to start the next game(s) for that week.
5) Any player who is not excused, from the coaching staff, for two (2) or more practices, in any given week, will not be allowed to participate in the next game(s) for that week.
Dedication to Soccer Team
• To be assured that we can have as much success as possible in a season we ask that the players on the team limit other activities, especially those that could result in injury. We would also ask that the players do not engage in another time-consuming activity like Drivers Ed class because they will not be able to dedicate the time necessary to succeed in both areas.
Practice Times and Location
1) The first practice of the year is Monday, March 8, 2010 and will be held at 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm on White Mountain Elementary Football Field.
2) Practice will regularly be held at one of the two following locations and times:
• When the weather/field permits after the first week we will practice OUTSIDE at
White Mountain Elementary Football Field
Outdoor practice will held from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
• When the field is bad/covered (March 8 - May 19) we will practice INDOORS at
???
Indoor practice will be held at ???

Practice Expectations
1) Players will be dressed and ready to start practice at scheduled time. Players who are late to practice are expected to stay after practice and make up the time they missed (excused or unexcused).
2) Players are expected to be at every practice. If the player must miss practice they need to tell the coaching staff of their absence beforehand.
3) Players should bring to practice everyday:
•Shin guards REQUIRED for every practice
• If buying new shin guards buy those that have a NOCSAE seal/brand, these are required for the 2010 season.
• Indoor shoes/running shoes/outdoor soccer shoes
• Water
• Sweat suit/ Stocking hat or ear band/ Light gloves (no metal parts)

Behavior and conduct
1) Athletes’ behavior is expected to be of the highest standard in restaurants, on the bus, at away games, during home contests, in school and in the community.
2) The following will not be tolerated:
• Any form of hazing
• Any form of sexual harassment
• Fighting
• Disrespectful treatment of coaching staff
• Abuse towards officials, parents, opposing players or teammates
• Vandalism/ Destruction of soccer equipment
• Theft
• Foul language
Any infraction will be handled in this manner, depending on the severity:
• Verbal warning
• Extra 80’s for self or team
• Probationary status
• Suspension for one contest
• Termination from the program for the season
You will have the opportunity to state your case to the coaching staff first. If this cannot be resolved then you may ask for a meeting with the Athletic Director.
Athlete appearance
1) For away games, player are expected to dress in one of the following ways in school and on the bus:
• Wear team t-shirt/sweatshirt with nice jeans or slacks.
• Wear a nice shirt with collar (tie recommended) with nice jeans or slacks.
2) Dress before home games will be one of the following:
• Wear nice shirt with collar and jeans or slacks.
• Attire selected by team captains and approved by coaching staff
3) Athletes need clothing worn under their uniform to be black (NHSAA rule)
4) Head bands worn during games must be school colors (solid colors).

Expectations on bus trips
1) All players must travel to and from all games on school provided transportation. Parents may take players home if arranged through the coaching staff.
2) Any player missing the bus departure will not be allowed to participate in that game. The bus will leave on time, be sure to arrive early when traveling.
3) Players travel bags and or luggage may be randomly inspected before or during trips.
4) Food and drink will be allowed on the bus. You will be responsible for keeping the bus clean. If the bus is messy at the end of the trip there will be extra 80’s the next practice.
5) MP3 players, game systems .... will be allowed at your own risk.
6) All games/movies shown or played on the bus need to be age/school appropriate.
7) No boom boxes or stereos allowed on the bus.
8) No non-team member will be allowed on the bus unless authorized by the coaches.

Expectations while staying at a hotel
1) Coaching staff makes room assignments; do not make changes without permission.
2) Coaching staff may make unexpected visits to your hotel room. Open the door immediately upon request. Failure to do so may result in suspension of the following game for all occupants in the room.
3) If staying in a hotel, notify one of the coaches if any damage is discovered upon your arrival, so you are not accountable for the damage.
4) Any damaged or missing articles from the hotel room will be charged equally to all players staying in that room.
5) No non-team member will be allowed in the hotel rooms unless authorized by the coaching staff.

Athlete behavior during games
1) When the game is in progress you should only be in the team box, checking in for a sub or on the field. Leaving the team box for other reasons is not acceptable.
2) No foul language will be tolerated from the team box.
3) You should be paying attention to the game and ready to listen and to learn from any situation. Not paying attention could cost you playing time.
4) No cell-phones or mp3 players are allowed in the team box during the game (NHSAA rule). Turn off all cell-phones during games, it could be a yellow card.
5) Please remove all jewelry etc… before games or you will not be able to play.
Cutting Policy
1) Cuts may be made if the number of players trying out for the team exceeds 40 players. This is due to equipment and travel restrictions.
2) Cuts will be made on individual ability of the player.
3) Cuts may primarily come from the Junior or Senior players that cannot contribute to the program at the present or in the future. Cuts from the lower classes may also be made at the coaching staff’s discretion.
4) Tryouts will be from March 8th to March 11th. Cuts, if necessary, will be made during/after practice on Thursday March 11th.

Playing Time and Varsity Team
1) No player is guaranteed playing time, the ability and work ethic will.
2) 16 - 17 players will be selected to the varsity squad. The varsity squad and starters may change game-to-game or week-to-week.
3) Five to seven players will be placed on the red shirt team. These players will suit up with the varsity team and receive limited varsity action. The red shirts will also play with the junior varsity team.
4) Junior Varsity players may be placed on the varsity roster for any given game.

To receive a Varsity Letter
To receive a Varsity letter the athlete must do the following
•The athlete must participate in 12 varsity halves during the 2010 season.
This is 40 % of the varsity halves played during the season.
•The athlete must remain in good standing with the team and coaching staff. A player is considered to be in good standing if they adhere to all rules of the team through final equipment check-in and returns or pays for all equipment. If a player is injured in an activity other than soccer during the season or is suspended during the season for behavior detrimental to the team they may not receive a varsity letter, the decision will come from the coaching staff. In the case of an injured athlete from another activity or a suspended player they will not be recommended for all-region or all-state awards at the end of the season.
Exceptions for a Varsity letter
• In the event of a soccer injury, remain in good standing and receive recommendation from the coaches. Halves will be prorated and applied to missed games.
• A senior who has been in good standing with the team for at least three years will also receive a varsity letter.
